Versatility is the defining trait of my 14-year professional career (and myself). My experience ranges from branding to software engineering, allowing me to develop in multiple stages and roles of a project.
I'm able to fit in any kind of team, at any stage of a project, and at pretty much any role that's related to visuals. In a tech-driven environments, I usually play the role of Product Designer and/or Frontend Engineer.
Proficient in understanding the business and users' needs, then moving on to benchmarking and brainstorming, prototyping and testing, creating high quality designs and development-ready deliverables and specs.
My role is to make sure that design intent is accurately translated into production code. I've been able to play this role in projects within diverse development environments, like Wordpress, Angular, React, Django, and Python.
I use AI on almost a daily basis and I've integrated it into my workflow, but it's not my main interface. I leverage it to augment my capabilities, and for tackling tasks I wouldn't usually be able to complete on my own.
For example, within a Wordpress environment of an already established platform, I would usually need to pair with a backend developer to implement functionality. With AI I am able to tackle an entire user story, from planning to full production implementation.
I built this website myself using a Jinja2 framework that allows me to build reusable components (like in Figma, following Atomic Design principles), which I've also applied in past client projects, allowing me to deliver a final version, or a starting point to more advanced software engineers, depending on the objectives and complexity of the project.
Outside of work you'll find me spending the most amount of time I can with my wife and toddler.
As hobbies, I enjoy collecting and photographing action figures and model kits from my favorite childhood (and adulthood) shows. I like staying up-to-date on design and tech trends, fixing computers and cellphones, debating about Star Wars, praising and hating on Apple, drawing, playing smash, and having sushi rolls or burritos.
